How do I make sure that my cakes and scones do not overcook?

Please a disc of foil over the top to avoid overcooking.

Can you cook burgers in a Remoska?

Heat up the Remoska® and brush the patties lightly with a little oil before placing them in the cooking pan. Cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.

What is an easy first-time recipe?

Baked potatoes or roast chicken.

Can you cook sausages in a Remoska?

Yes, brush the base of the pan with a little oil, places the sausages into the pan and turn after 25-30 minutes. They cook best when in direct contact with the base of the pan

Can I preheat my empty Remoska?

There is generally no need to preheat. However if you are going to preheat, place a ramekin of water into the pan, or put some oil in the pan.

Can I put my Remoska on a hob or hot plate?

This is not recommended as the heat can distort the pan and damage the non-stick coating. If the pan is distorted, it will not seal with the lid and cannot be used.

Why does the lid of my Remoska look as if there are spots of rust?

The spots are oils and fat that have escaped through the steam vents.

Why don’t all four vents work in my Remoska Standard lid?

There are only three working vents-the fourth one is to make the top symmetrical.

Do the steam vents need to be cleaned?

You should ensure that the steam vents are open by cleaning with a tooth pick every few months.

What is the best size for two people?

The 2 litre Remoska Standard would be ideal.

Can I cook a chicken in a Remoska standard?

Yes, you can cook a 2 kg chicken in the Standard size.

Can I use my own oven-proof dish in the Remoska?

Yes, you can use any oven-proof dish, but the top of the dish should not be higher than the top of the pan.

Can I use any silicone moulds for cakes etc?

Yes, you can safely use any silicone moulds in a Remoska.

Can I put the pan in the dishwasher?

The pan is safe in a dishwasher, and can also be rinsed out with a damp cloth and warm water.
